Thats my go to bullet. I loaded them up a couple days ago when sighting in my Wolf and you know you are getting a high quality bullet with that one.

i would be curious to how you retrieved that bullet?

was it on live game? or phone books or ballistic gel

if it dont pass thru on a deer IMO it aint worth jack

looks like the one he shot has some dirt inbeded in it. but i have shot some of the 300 grain barnes red hot bullets and they make a mess inside and out on a deer with a clean pass threw.

Thor bullets are basically a Barnes bullet and if someone says barnes aint worth jack, they dont know squat.

That was removed from a sand bucket. Didnt open all the way but thats because barnes need water/tissue in order to fully open.

Like this one,

Ballistic Tip weighs 3 grains. 250gr Overall.

i have shot barnes bullets they work great very good accuracy with their ml bullets.
I do not care for their rifle bullets I prefer Nosler

i do not care for a bullet that does not pass through a deer. period I dont like the barnes expander or the Knight "red hots"
I believe the hp design is great for accuracy but the performance is lack luster I shot a 180 live weight 8 pointer at 15 yards with a 300 gn red hot at 1800 fps mel vel no pass through it could not punch both shoulders, however the buck did drop in his tracks

I have shot many bullets through wet phone books soaked for 2 days and have killed as many as 30 plus in a year bullets dont perform on animals the same all the time as the wet paper

poor shots are normally to blame. A barnes will always do the job if the shooter does his.

Those Thors normally open up to around .970" inside an animal.

i agree 100% about poor shots.

A rock will do its job if the shooter puts it in the right place, entry and exit wounds are nice and aid in tracking, something alot of folks cant or will not do is take the time to find one that runs off.
