Don't move at the wrong time, be still and ALWAYS hunt with the wind in your face or quartering. Get down and don't bugger your setup if it changes.

Thanks for all the tips. Luckily all the practice paid off, and I was able to get my first archery deer this year. I definitely still need to practice on a few things but this is an ever learning sport as is all hunting. One thing I learned is that no matter how much you practice, there isn't much that will prepare you for the exact moment that you draw back on a deer. Another thing is that I need to continue practicing shooting from a stand and from elevation.
