I don't think he has ever used his! He likes his compound bow better.
Has your friend missed as much as you have?
John is actually almost a professional hunter. I think he has a dozen turkey Grand Slams, mostly with a bow. I think he bought it just because he could. I doubt he has ever hunted with it.

Practice, practice, practice until you know you can kill anything and you are dangerous with that crossbow. It will pay big dividends in confidence! It would amaze most people how little movement at the trigger results in a miss. Follow through is critical. Best of luck on the next opportunity.

My new Vortex scope will be here today! I've either got to find a clear field to shoot or go down behind my house and clear out a range so I can shoot 40 yards. I am thinking field since I don't want to be devoured by mosquitoes.

I ended up giving away my other arrows to my friend. He has a 300 FPS crossbow and he is going to try them. I'm just guessing that some bows do not like certain arrows. The good thing for him is they have all been shot and numbered.
