Got a deer roast on right now. I used the neck for this one.
Clean meat up real good. Sprinkle with garlic powder, pepper and
a little salt if you want.

Put a frying pan on and add some oil. Put meat in and brown good
on all sides. When brown, sprinkle french onion soup mix over
and around meat. Brown onion soup mix, when brown, put enough
water in to come about half way up the meat.

You can add potatoes, onions, carrots, celery, and muchrooms.
I will tast and add more garlic and some chicken bulion, sometime
I also add some beef bulion.

This time and I have before, transferred eveything to crock
pot prior to adding vegies.

Put crock pot on low and cook till in the morning.

Going to be some good eating.

Tomorrow the wife is cooking deer chili for the weekend. She does a good job with it. She ran a school kitchen for 28 years.
She should know how to cook.
