Pulled one of my cameras the other day and had pics of a solid white jake, bronze colored hen and a smokey white looking hen. This is the third year Ive had pics of the bronze hen. Ive been turkey hunting since the 80's and could count on one hand the number of color phase birds I've seen. Seems kinda odd to have 3 in the same place.

Agreed, the bronze hen is the prettiest turkey I've ever seen!

Glad the white jake made it, he'd be a cool bird to chase next year

Man those are cool. The bronze hen is the best though. Maybe those genes will pass on to be adult gobblers in the area.

Not saying they are tame or influenced by domestic flocks, but sure is odd to have three different color phases in one flock.

I've hunted a long time and seen a lot of turkeys and have never ever seen any color phase. My favorites are the cinnamon/bronze/red.

.

That's just the thing, all turkeys came from north America as the turkeys we have now or oscillated birds in south America. So farm birds were influenced by wild stock instead of the other way around.

Bronze are definitely my favorites. I've personally laid eyes on 2, just gorgeous.

Definitely extremely rare to have so many in 1 spot! Thanks for sharing.
