Well what to do?

Pretty much anything you want to talk about!

Well what to do?

Postby ImThere » Thu Mar 26, 2020 8:33 pm

My son in law probably has the corona virus and we hung out Saturday for a few hours. He has all the symptoms and is trying to get tested. He lives in Williamson county and works all over Davidson county and most of Middle tn. I was wanting to go turkey hunting this weekend but I don’t know if I should stay home waiting on his test results?

Call the hotline and talk to them. 877-857-2945.

I had an employee call me Sunday, thought he might have been exposed. I had him call the hotline and he talked them and the determined he would be ok, in his case, he hadn't been in direct contact.

You can still hunt. Just go by yourself. Pack your lunch so you can avoid restaurants.
If you plan to hunt with someone else, drive separately and keep your distance.

Sure he doesn’t just have the flu?

He needs to get tested.

He may not have it. Last I heard (early this week) around 10% of tests are coming back positive.

Does he have that dry cough that often comes with it?

Has he lost any sense of taste or smell?

Dry cough, fever, headache. I’m not sure about any loss is senses except common sense but I don’t think he ever had it.

If he truly is positive, then you need to avoid interactions outside of those in your immediate family. They have already been exposed through you.

Your obligation is to stay home and wait the required days to see if you have it.

If you risk infecting one other person, that is one too many.

Tests came back negative for corona virus. They don’t know why he’s sick. Regular flu was negative as well.

Common crud, allergies, this is just a bad time to be weary of getting sick in the South. My Mom got really sick last week and her test was negative as well. There is a chance it could be a false negative. but it's not very high.

Yep you need to go get tested and anyone else he's been around.

Friend of mine was exposed on a Monday (2 weeks ago) and had to get tested. His and his wife's were negative that Friday.
