Virus Slowing deliveries?

Postby dr » Thu Mar 26, 2020 5:39 pm

I ordered car parts 3 days ago from Amazon , and got a confirmation saying it may be delivered May 3rd. I usually get orders in 3 or 4 days. Anyone know if deliveries have been slowed drastically due to Virus? Thanks

Depends on the item, I needed some AAAA batteries, and the cheaper ones said the delivery date to be the end of April. Ordered the ones that were almost twice as much and got them in 4 days.

Depends on where they'e coming from. Car parts? Wouldn't be surprised if they have to come in from China.

Driving for UPS here and I can’t tell you how much non essential BS I’ve delivered over the past two weeks. Shipping times are probably slow due to lack of staffing in some companies and people ordering bulk toilet paper, furniture and whatever other junk to keep themselves occupied while they are staying at home.

Most 9 volt batteries are a 6 pack of AAAA batteries wired together and wrapped in cardboard.

I've had to CONUS orders than have been delayed, but a bigger shipment from China was delivered in 4 days last week. I was surprised it came from mainland China, through customs in Alaska and delivered to my doorstep in 4 days flat. Fedex.
