Been looking at the 9's that are somewhat economical for truck carry . Studied several and found a Stoeger that has all the options most folks would want on a striker. Researched the gun and was surprised at all the favorable reviews , including NRA gun of the week at the shot show . I bought it at Bass Pro . They have a second amendment sale now through the 28th .. you pay no tax. This handy lightweight full size 9 is priced at 299 … You should study this piece , I bet next year the price will take a huge leap. Stoeger STR-9

I don't have any experience with their handguns, but have been pleased with their shotgun.

I looked at it the other day, looks like a well built gun at a great price point.

Don't know anything about the STR but I have the Cougar 8040. It's a big gun, fits my hand well. My brothers being more used to the 9mm don't care for it, but most folks used to larger calibers that have shot it find it difficult to believe I paid $300 for it. I like their shotguns as well.
