Have a great trip! The report I got a week or so ago gave me a lot of concern for it. Apparently most of the beach was eroded. I was told that on a lot of the first row houses that the water was on their pilings at high tide.

Hope they can get it back close to what it was before the storm.

I'm down for some tarpon days later in July. Let me know how things look. Have a safe trip!

At the brother in laws house just a few hundred yards from the state park and the beaches are great. Few homes still recovering but I’d say 80% of the Cape is normal. Around the rock wall is one lane with a light for now but most of everything is normal n

Good to hear that things are getting back to normal. I'll be there in July this year fishing St Joes bay.

My friend had his boat down with him to fish the bay. He WHACKED big flounder and trout up to 28" on his fly rod in the bay.

Father in law caught the big one of the day. 27.5 inch trout. Smacked the trout... 2 flounders and a Spanish Markrel. Took the brothers boat out at 8:30 yesterday and was limited out on trout at 10:45 for four of us.

Oh and caught two small sharks.

Wow! Great speck! I havent checked the regs for this year but is it still the same where you can keep one over 20 inches? What part of the bay are you fishing if you don't mind?

Yes one over 20 per person.

We mainly fished along the Cape side. Familiar with the island where they have homes on it?

Very. Thanks. I have had lots of luck there just southwest on some grass flats. I normally stay just a few miles from there on the cape side behind Pig Island.

We have a home on the Cape. Couple hundred yards before the state park entry.
