If you ever get the chance, take a trip to estes park (preferably in mid-late september). I drove up there this weekend and there were absolutely NO crowds, but the elk are still everywhere ..

A few people were saying "oh look how beautiful", and I was thinking "Look at all those backstraps" :drool:

Estes Park is loaded with elk. Hunted a few units south of there.

we just moved north of the springs, to a town called Monument.

Grew up in Denver, but spent my time in a bunch of small towns in the mountains. My godparents live in Blanca, wish I could do another elk hunt out there.
