I use one. I rotate 7 hens and a rooster in it. Mine I built, 4x14 run with a 4x4x4 coop with two perches. I move it every 3-4 days.

I’ve made several and used different styles. My favorite is the hoop style using cattle panels for the hoop part and covering with a tarp. The hoop allows me to walk into the tractor. That being said, I don’t like the tractors for layers. They seem to like a permanent coop better, and it’s less work. I build a coop for them and put a regular electric fence around it with both woods and grass in the fenced area. The electric fence keeps the predators out and the chickens in no problems. Once they get zapped a couple times they don’t even try to test it just like other animals. I use the tractors for our broilers and they work great for them.

They are awesome chickens! I’m down to 1 left, but she is very calm and let’s my daughter pick her up and carry her around. Nice sky blue eggs. The tractor I built I put 10 in to start because my big pen wasn’t finished, but I keep 8 in it now and honestly 6 would be better.

I use them for broilers. I put 25 at a time in a 16'x8'x30".
