Yeah still in velvet, Fort Campbell opens a little earlier then the rest of Tennessee. They open the 3rd Saturday of September every year, but they also close a little bit earlier. Last day of hunting is noon on New Years Eve. I scraped a little bit off dragging him out of the woods, I was in a walking boot from a broken ankle due to a bad jump in an airborne operation lol.

Love the buck MUP ^^^ and the Old Timer knife...I lost mine in the woods years ago and have been sick about it ever since...back in the day when they were still made in the USA.

This one belonged to my late Dad, and he had it back in the mid 70's I believe. I've field dressed every deer I've ever killed with it, minus one that I tried a new Buck knife with a gut hook on it, I went back to the Sharpfinger, and especially on this buck, extra special taking that buck on the land where my Dad was raised up hunting as well.

Not the highest scoring deer but probably one of the biggest bodied whitetail I’ve see from TN. Didn’t have a way to weigh it so know idea how much he actually weighed. Killed by my daughter when she was 11.

Got lucky there. Actually only about a 30 yard drag to where I could get the ranger to it.
