I suck at running too. Bears, cops, gobbling turkeys and crazy women tend to make me pick up the pace but other than that I’m not very good at it.

Lol.
People think running is easy you just move your legs and go. Not so much when your running distance for time and don’t want to feel like a 80 year old in the morning.

Give trail running a shot. It looks like Henry Horton SP is just north of you. The natural surfaces are much easier on your body. Not to mention, there is no monotony like a dreadmill.

I plan on trail running some. I love to ride trails on my bike come summer, and I ride ride my road bike 100 miles a week.

Yesterday was a quick 2.5 miles on some hills at Montgomery Bell State Park while my son was fishing.

5 miles today - under 10 minutes per. 60 pushups. Around 1300 calories today. Down to 174. Target weight - 170. Hope to be there by the end of the week...then, maintaining starts.

You guys are killing it!

I did a short little kettle bell hiit routine in my garage last night. Using 2 30lb KBs;
5 single hand snatches (both hands)
5 single hand swings (both hands)
Double hand thrusters 5x
5burpees
5 30lb gobblet squats
All for time; I believe it was around 11 1/2 mins. That’s was a killer and quick workout. Finished it up with 20 burpees for a time of 1:45mins. Jan 20th so I followed Buzzardbreath and did one for each day of the month.

Been working out since the new year. Alternating the spin bike with HIIT workouts. On the days I bike I add in strength weight training for a muscle group or two.

Today I started apple cidar vinegar; man that stuff is awful!

3 mile run 25:12 followed by full body workout. I feel like I pulled my butt muscle. Giving a whole new meaning to butt hurt! Lol. My hams and lower back hurt also I guess during my run when it started hurting I was compensating.

You runners have my respect. I hate it, so I’m not good at it. Or maybe vice versa. Either way, Monday was a one hour full body weight session. Tonight was 30 minutes on the heavy bag using 16 ounce gloves. Doesn’t sound like much, but it’s great fun.

3 mile 32:07 I had a hard time running today. Leg/ but still hurting. Worked out upper body Legs wouldn’t let me work out

We are at Vandy with my youngest. I am trying to do prison workouts and other exercises that do not require weights. Still trying to do keto with limited food selections.

I ended up increasing my carb intake by about 3xs, staying below 100grams. It has made a huge impact on my conditioning performance. I crushed my burpee and mile numbers greatly, finally below 10mins for 100 burpees and actually ran 2 miles in 17.5mins time.

I think some people can simply get away with more carbs while others can get away with more activity on fewer carbs. If I was more sedentary or trying to loose a large amount of weight, “Keto” would be great. Since I’m trying to up my endurance, cut some body fat and maintain (slightly increase muscle mass) I simply need more carbs.

Full disclosure; my increased carbs are in the form of more green leafy vegetables, few ounces of sweet potatoes, berry type fruits (if any). Basically I’m eating a lot more greens and some added complex carbs and minimal fructose (fruit).

My weight this morning is 181.2, if I could get to 175 without sacrificing muscle I will be ecstatic. That should put me below the 15% body fat mark.

Suffered through another work out with this pulled muscle. I walked 2 miles and worked out biceps and back. Legs and butt are toast in need of a few recovery days.

Yesterday - 5 miles @ 9 min 38 sec per. Bumped up from 60 to 70 pushups (2 sets of 35) - hope to be at a 100 pushups soon.

Rode 5 miles on the stationary bike. 3 min miles, random hills level 3.
I walked 1 mile warm up.
Light weight leg presses
Sitting bench press
Butterflies
Cable crosses
I hope my leg / butt feels better by Monday. Trying to keep everything stretched out when it get tight it don’t feel good.

I had a pretty good week. I had a broken watch band for the first half of the week so there's no gps record of me actually doing anything. Monday and Wednesday I ran just over 4 miles both days. Yesterday I did an easy 3.4 miles @ 9:50 a mile. Today I made it out for a 6 mile trail run. I only had 1 kettlebell workout this week and I missed a few days of burbees, but I think the break helped.

There's no guarantee what I'm going to do next week. If we get the artic blast that they're talking about, I'm not running. Well, at least not for any distance. I may add another kettlebell workout and do some sprints to the end of the road and back. We'll see.

Did 2.5 miles on the elliptical. Did everything but shoulders. They have been lagging so I will do cardio and shoulders only tomorrow.
