Been a good week.

Wednesday - off
Thursday - 3 mile run
Friday - Full body kettlebell workout
Saturday - 3.5 mile trail run. That was my first trail run in a long time. I'm satisfied with 12 minute miles after that layoff.

You guys are killing it!
I’ve been maintaining my 5x5 routine and throwing in some hiit on my in between days. I’ve put on some weight but that usually comes with a focus on strength training and a lax diet. I keep things in check by doing hiit and strict pullsups, as long as I can knock out one of those grueling workouts 1-2 times a week I’m fine.
I need to plan a 2-3 day hike this summer to make sure my Vo2 is ok.

The pastor is on fire!

I ran a mile yesterday after lifting. 8:55mins, it was my first run in over a couple months. Running is by far my weakest link. When I played baseball I could sprint good but I’ve never been a runner. Kudos to you guys that can knock out the miles.

I was on pace for a new personal best at halfway point, but went to pieces on the second half of my spin class! Always kicks my butt!

In addition to some lite effort warming up and cooling down (40mins tot) I did a killer hiit routine.

-1min row average 12cal per min
-10 burpees average 50seconds
-30 second cool down

10 rounds for a time of 22:58mins and at least 200 calories burned. The moderate effort row and 30 second rest allowed for me to keep a consistent burpee time along with excellent form.

Looks like you've doubled your situps over the last couple weeks.

I'm screwed. I'm nowhere near this kind of shape. I'm out of breath just reading this. Time for me to really hit it hard for the next couple months.

I sure have. My goal is to slowly build up to 200 per day of situps and pushups. I've been amazed at how hard the situps were when first started back doing them. I hadn't done situps in many, many years. But, over the last few months, I've been able to build up from 25 (with great difficulty) to two sets of 30 with no problem. :super:

I've got a lot going on this weekend, so I slipped a little trail run in this evening. I should have known better than to expect much in this heat. There's nothing like waiting until the hottest part of the day to run.
