AT Hiker that is awesome, usually I just throw in a WOD every now and then to do something different. I like to run, swim row, and stair step. But occasionally i will do a WOD for cardio they are smokers.

If you believe in the research a 10 min HIIT equals to over a hours worth of steady state cardio, as far as health benefits go.

For me, it just whoops me real good and I love the feeling.

Yeah, sleep is amazing. I perform so much better at everything when sleep is good and consistent. I would guess 8 hours is my magic number, especially if I can wake up naturally on my own.

That’s why I love backpacking. By the time it’s usually dark I’m already exhausted and ready for bed. That circadian rhythm is the real deal.

AT Hiker yeah I agree about the backpacking, I go over to the greenway here in Clarksville and ruck the whole thing with about 75 pounds on my back in the spring and fall (dont really do it in the summer or winter since I do enough of that uncomfortable stuff for work over in group). If you do the whole thing it is 9 miles. I like to ruck also you know you have put in some work once you are done with that. If you are into hiking in the woods you need to go over to red River Gorge in Kentucky. I usually make a trip over there every year and hike it for a weekend there are some gnarly hills and terrain out there. It is located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Check it out online, you can make a weekend of it and do some ziplining and rock climbing if you want to.

I just spent a week in Canada, fishing with my dad and living off potatoes, beer and maple bacon (dad bought groceries ). I don't see AT posting too much, so I'm hoping he's been as inconstant as I have. Otherwise, he's going to run me into the ground in the mountains this winter.

Time to get my head out of my rearend and make fitness a daily thing....... again.

Monday - mowed with a weighted pack (2.5 gallons of water). Our yard is 2/3 of an acre and is extremely sloped. My legs were BURNING afterwards. It's been awhile since I've strapped a pack on and done anything.

Tuesday - 20 minutes on the treadmill; then 24 burpees before work. Spread mulch afterwards.

Wednesday - 10 minutes on treadmill; then onnit kettlebell workout before work. Easy 3 mile run after work. I've got to acclimate myself back into running in this heat.

Going to eat dinner and see if I can find any good coues deer bowhunts on Youtube this evening.Image

I’ve most definitely lost my routine but my beer consumption is pretty consistent. Priorities you know.

We have actually been pretty busy so gym time has been sporadic and diet/nutrition has not been where it should be. However, I’ve been lifting pretty heavy when I do hit the gym to ensure I’m not loosing to much mass (not that I have a whole lot).

My endurance is not where I want it to be but I do keep it in check. 100 burpees today for a time of approx 11mins and yesterday after some lifting I I did 5 rounds of 500m max effort row with 1min rest.

I like your dads grocery list, simple and effective.

Everything has went to pot the past month or so. Today I started transitioning back to lower carbs/keto. Changing my weigh in day from Monday to Tuesday. I know the summer will have a few cookouts where things are out of whack. Want that extra day to get back on track. Pushups 4 sets of 10 this week. 3 days of weights and at least 3 days of cardio.

4 mile runs on both Friday and Monday (yesterday). It's hard to quantify what I did over the weekend, but let's just say I was busy doing something all weekend; yard work, couple of hikes, couple of walks, wading a river fishing; just a good active weekend.

I've been hitting the workouts consistently 6 days a week and really watching my diet. Finally at my goal weight! Feeling great, lets see the doc has good news for me now too!
