Lower the voting age

Postby woodyard » Fri Mar 15, 2019 7:48 am

Pelosi and the dems now want the voting age lowered to 16.

Funny thing they don’t think they are mature enough to own a rifle or shotgun at 18 though. Need to wait till they are 21.

Yep , they want to capture them to have some more brainless voters.

They allow the 16 year olds AND the illegals to vote and the Democrats will ALWAYS be in control, the Republicans will never again win an election.

They did every thing they could to help Hillary but it was not enough so now they want to make SURE.

Alot of people realize as they get older that the celebrities, TV and left wingers are full of it and they change allegiance. Open borders Pelosi knows this and this is their latest of many stunts to rig elections in their favor. Young minds are much easier to manipulate. Its gross but standard stuff from liberals.

Pure stupidity overall in the liberal mind, but quite ingenious to attempt such an outlandish plot against the country, and even more outlandish that such a plot actually stands a small chance of succeeding with the numb nuts in Congress, both sides.

Sure why not. Lower the drinking age, gun buying and military enlistment age while there at. Set them all to 16.

Might as well go on down to 12. I had about as much sense then as I did when I was 16. Which wasn’t much.
Or 10.
Where are the old time moderate Democrats? It seems everyone in the dem party have lost their sanity. I just wonder how in the world all these people I know that have always voted dem and will continue vote that way keep on doing it. I talking about farmers and others that always have been good citizens and seemed like they had good sense. Church going people and sensible people about most evrything. How do you keep supporting a party that has gone off the deep left edge?

Low info sought, low info garnered. Head in the sand, "my Dad was a Democrat, his Dad was, etc..." Some consider it a game "my side won". Several reasons that are still inexcusable when it comes to something so important IMO.

Where are they?? I know where a couple are. As long as the mighty "D" stand in front of their name they WILL vote for ever Jim Jones right before drinking his Kool-Aid. A lot of " time moderate Democrats" have started to change their minds, they are seeing it all day after day non stop on CNN, MSNBC, and all the rest. They are realizing how far the left has gone and are seeing how the Democrats protects illegals more than American citizens.

Well, looks like Big Ben thought I was talking about him and another member on a different forum. And he ever brought this tread up on that forum. Funny thing is I was talking about 2 totally different people on the Springfield forums. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

I will not tell you all about it but do over there and read his posts and what EVERYBODY posts against him. Read them yourself with your own eyes.

Like I said, he's so easy. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Yep ... interesting contradictions these liberal make ...

You can't handle the responsibility of drinking alcohol until you're 21 ... but you can handle the responsibility of voting when when you're 16.

You can't handle the responsibility of buying or handling a firearm until you're 21 ... but you can handle the responsibility of voting when when you're 16.

You are considered a 'child' because you can pass the responsibility of having your own health care until you're 26 onto your parents ... but you can handle the responsibility of voting when when you're 16.

Afraid democrats will continue to manipulate, change laws until there's no way they can lose. Too many sheeple are convinced Socialism is the cool, hip thing to do.

Fine. Make the age of the draft 16 also.

It’s no wonder that left-wing groups are desperately trying to find ways to get children to vote or be used as useful tools for their agenda.

While young people embrace at least the word “socialism” in disproportionately high numbers, Americans as a whole find the term toxic, as far as who they’d be willing to vote for.

According to a recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, just 25 percent of respondents found “socialist” to be a desirable trait for a presidential candidate. Perhaps America’s older cohorts simply have a better understanding of what socialism is.

It’s clear that in the debate over socialism, education is where we have failed. A generation or generations of young Americans are falling under the impression that socialism, whatever they think it is, will bring more prosperity.

History, of course, demonstrates the opposite.

The reason America is so prosperous, and why it remains a place where so many people around the globe aspire to live, is because it rejected these ruthlessly collectivist doctrines.

Our nation held tightly to the ideas of the rule of law, private property, and the Constitution, all of which do far more for the common citizen than the doctrines of socialism, which put absolute power in the hands of a few.

At the same time progressives demand the lowering of the voting age, we increasingly infantilize young Americans, who are not really seen as “adults” until the age of 26, long after most graduate college.

From smoking to gun ownership, progressives are stripping the rights and life choices of young adults.
Meanwhile, they demand that we put increasing power in the hands of 16-year-olds to determine our leaders and laws.

This has things entirely backward.
