TFA LAC Annual Fundraiser and Auction

I am not sure if this is the best place to share this and, if not, please feel free to repost elsewhere, including social media!

Many of you have heard or are members of the Tennessee Firearms Association (I hope). It is an IRS 501(c)(4) that has existed for 25 years now and which focuses on legislative and legal issues pertaining to 2nd Amendment, gun ownership, hunting, self-defense etc. ( http://www.tennesseefirearms.com ) It has as its mission to make Tennessee the best place to be a gun owner in the nation (we are far from it according to various studies).

One of the necessary functions of monitoring and improving the laws in Tennessee is monitoring the Tennessee Legislature. We have to work with elected officials and we have the task of supporting and re-electing our "heroes" as well as identifying and working to replace those incumbents who are not supporting our constitution rights. That task, political engagement, is done through a political action committee named the Tennessee Firearms Association Legislative Action Committee ("TFALAC") http://www.tfalac.org

In 2018, TFALAC supported or opposed more than 30 candidates statewide. We budgeted through TFA and TFALAC approximately $150,000 of donor based funds just for the 2018 election cycle. We made a lot of progress but we have more to do. The simply fact is that the "Establishment" or "RINO" Republicans control the Republican legislative caucuses and we have to have conservatives in office to turn that tide and really work to protect our rights. That means that there are more seats that have to be changed. We are already working on a special election this fall for the seat vacated in West Tennessee by Bill Sanderson just recently.

So what can you do to help? Get involved!

TFALAC will have its annual fundraiser on Saturday October 5 at Smiley Hollow in Goodletsville, Tennessee. https://tfalac.org/2019-annual-meeting/ Its a midday BBQ banquet with speakers, a silent auction and a live auction. We expect to have between 20-30 firearms up for auction and the doorprize this year will likely be a firearm of some sort.

ALL of the net proceeds (deducting only the cost of the venue, the meal and banners for sponsors, etc) are used in the PAC. There are no "7 figure" salaries - or salaries at all - being paid from the proceeds. Indeed, all of the TFA's board and leadership are volunteers!

If you would like to get tickets, get a vendor's table, or become a sponsor like Beaman Automotive, USLAwShield and numerous other 2nd Amendment supporters, please contact me or get more details at https://tfalac.org/2019-annual-meeting/
