Rancher deer hauler sagging

Postby buckaroo » Fri May 08, 2020 5:21 pm

I put a reciever on my rancher, built deer hauler, when just a small amount of weight applied to hauler it sags badly, but when weight is on the seat the suspension turns and lifts the carrier where it belongs. Is there a better way to attach this carrier, other than cargo rack? Or should I just leave it this way?

So the receiver is mounted to the axle, and when you sit down the shock rotates the axle so the hauler is in the right position, but without any weight the receiver points down?

With weight and no one on seat, it sags, nearly to the ground

Then when I sit on it, it rotates back up

My rancher has a swing arm the axle is mounted to. Swing arm pivots on the frame and the shock ties the two together. My shock is adjustable. If yours is the same, have you tried adjusting the shock to the highest setting?

Regardless of the shock setting, the axle should only pivot a couple of degrees. Seems like something isn't right with yours for sure.
