Rugers carpentry tip of the day

Painted the vanity in my bathroom.
Of course this meant removing and replacing the hinges and handles.
Two trips to Lowe’s in union City and I finally had all the right crap.
IDENTICAL hinges to what I had.
After 2 1/2 hours a few texts and a phone call I got three of them working “ok” but far from perfect.
The fourth one (well the first one I tried actually) is where the tip comes in.
Issue was all the doors needed to move 1/8” towards the hinge.
Nothing worked.
Hmmm gentle nudge towards the hinge on the edge of the door might work.
Nope.
Several VERY irritating moments later I decided an atomic knee drop was what was needed.
Tip of the day, buy one extra set of hinges before you start to save another trip to Lowe’s.
That’s all, drive through.

Hinge tip. 3 in drywall screw in middle hinge screw hole angled about 45 degrees toward door jamb. Watch it suck in about a 1/4 in. Bingo!
