Hummingbird sighting

Postby Wobblyshot1 » Tue Apr 10, 2018 3:06 pm

Saw my first one today so I put out three feeders. I'm near Smyrna. Anyone else seeing any?

I've read on here that a couple of people are starting to see a few. Our feeders will go out in the next week. I think the "extended" winter weather we've had thus far has delayed our sightings. After our 1 day of spring they should start dropping in regularly.

I saw one about the size of a nickel last week, but that's the only one.

We have had one for about a week. Saturday was the first time I've ever seen a hummingbird and snow at the same time. In another month we will have 100+

We had a couple of males outside our kitchen window this morning. This is where we generally hang our feeders and they flitted around like they seemed to remember a feeder being there last year. so.... the feeders are out now and ready for the entertainment to start.

Mama called me on April 3rd and said she just had one hit her flowers. I thought she was either seein things or she had actually had one of our wintering hummers visit. Obviously she knew what she seen. She lives in west Nashville, about 30min from me. I usually don’t get the first hummer till end of May.
