Suggestions for Holster

Postby JeepKuntry » Fri Feb 14, 2020 11:53 am

Trying to decide on a holster. Normally I am business casual attire. Wanting to start carrying a bulkier gun. Needs to be concealed with a tucked in shirt. Suggestions? Right now I think the g3 is in the lead.

Can’t recommend TRexArms enough. Locally made in Hickman county by someone I know. The Sidecar is a great appendix carry holster.

I had something similar and hated it. The final straw was getting in the vehicle and it coming unclipped, which flung both holster and gun across the parking lot. The clip design is the flaw, the gun stayed in the holster as designed.

Might wanna add I hate appendix carry. And good Lord on the cost of the Trex's. My other one of interest is the alien shapeshift 4.0 iwb holster.

I do like the n82 design except for the black leather bulk at the top. I don't think I will be able to conceal that the way I am hoping for.

Agree on the appendix for me too but he makes others. They are a little more $$, but they are very high quality holsters and a few of my buddies work for him so I am admittedly biased.

I went back to an alien gear but I didn’t get a shapeshift. I think mine is the 3.5. I like it but it comes with its own struggles. Like you I’m still searching for the one. A lot of the appendix carry holsters can be worn pretty much anywhere. Just get the appropriate hand.

Regarding Alien, I was literally driving down the interstate in Idaho last year when I passed their factory!! Scared the crap out of my wife when I yelled. I had no idea they were there.
Needless to say, I went back the next day as I had been very interested in their products. Super nice people and they actually built me an appendix wear holster, to my needs, while I waited.

I HIGHLY recommend Muddy River Tactical. If you ask, he’ll give you 20% off your first order. Small family business that is very responsive to questions.

Yep they have become my favorite. The bufflo leather IWB holster is the highest quality I've had

The only option for IWB carry is a Crossbreed. My Galco KingTuk is nifty enough, but when it wears out, its replacement will definitely be a Crossbreed.
