With all the "racist statues" being ripped down, how long do you think it will be before Bears statue takes a tumble. Let me say, i dont agree with taking any of them down, as they nothing more that a reminder of the past. I know there are already grumblings and they are getting louder.

Not sure I hope never, all that this whole situation has done is made me realize I am done with all sports college and pro. First the Coronavirus took sports away and now all the rioters and social justice warriors just made me realize I don't want or need them to enjoy life.

Not to pee you guys off, but did you say the same when they were first taking down confederate soldiers statues. Kind of crazy we will get worked up so bad over a football coach compared to people that died for what they believed in. Not to point you out pillsbury but over your dead body. Cmon man. Lol get perspective. I'll say this I'm a volunteer all the way no two ways around it, but this has nothing to do with football. This is hatred. If they allow that statue to come down in Alabama, I personally will quit watching football. I'm almost there because of the Mississippi ordeal. Enough is enough. But back to the conversation, we need to learn morally what's right to stand up for first and foremost, and it's not a football coach.

Coach B refused to recruit black players, everybody knows that.

That is false. You need to do your research before slandering a dead mans name.

Kind of harsh as you broadened the topic he was responding to and then twisted what he did not say.

Apologies if it seems that I'm singling pillsbury out. I'm not I've heard this a lot lately. Also I'm trying to makes heads and tails of what people truly feel that is right or wrong. We seem to get so caught up in sports, we forget about what truly matters. Now I'm sure pillsbury and other fans are very passionate about their team, so am I, but I can't see what his emotion literally is through words written on a forum. But I do know how people act over a sport, and how far they'll go, and then set back on things that'll actually matter in their life. Pillsbury doughboy if I offended you sir I'm sorry. Life has been a little crazy lately with pandemics and some lives mattering and others not so much.

You can bet im pissed off..but not at the nonsense on the board. At all the BS that is going on in America with these protest and tearing down statues.

Imma sure there are a great many patriots out there defending a good many of our national treasures they don't need my hands on deck. But I get heads up they are going to tear down Bears monument you can bet I will be heading down south . Should make for a fun evening if nothing else. I ain't as good as I once was,
But I'm as good once as I ever was.

The saddest part of this is WHEN it does come down fans will still show up and wallow in the political correctness.

Not a crack on AL fans. It will happen everywhere. Notre Dame could paint over Touchdown Jesus and the loyals would still hand their money over to them.

NCAA decided yesterday that all student athletes can wear patches to support social justice causes....

Not a crack at you but I bet if a kid wanted to wear a patch that said Abortion is Murder it would be denied.
THAT is the insanity of all this.

He recruited Condredge Holloway. He is black.

EVERYBODY recruited Holloway, and Bryant did too, but told him he could not play quarterback because he was black and "alabama wasn't ready for a black quarterback."
