I have about 12 farms I have permission to hunt with a total of 1500 acres or so. Many of the farms border one another so over 1000 is one solid block.

In a ~4,000 acre club but only about 10% is decent turkey habitat. Rest is young pine plantation with at least half so thick a turkey would struggle to walk through it. Be a great year if more than 6 or so birds are taken off it.

Also have permission to hunt ~50 acres to adjoins some public land. But the birds LOVE that 50 acres! Good for a bird opening week each year.

Dang y'all got some big tracts. I've got about 750 to myself, which I own, that is more in one block than I've ever had to hunt in my lifetime. It's hard to keep good ground to hunt. When I was 18, had more ground than I could get to...for free. Now, if it weren't for my own place I don't know if I'd even have anywhere to hunt.

I used to drive an hour one way to hunt private land. Nothing around me had turkeys at all. Now 18 years later I've got a better place that's walking distance from my house. Like I said it's about 100 acres but it's good and close

There was no turkeys here 18 years ago. I know a lot of folks have seen a decline but it's been a boom for me
