Same here we chased em all morning till we got pretty boy out. He got the shakes and missed one at 10 yds. Then had 4 run at us as we were walking out I saw them and sat down behind the decoy my son was behind me. He shot one at 5 steps from him (2 steps from me) on a dead run at me. I thought I was about to eat a spur sandwich lol. He was TORE UP! This is his 4th long beard but by far the most exciting.

They didn't gobble very much this morning. This one didn't gobble at all but I was set up long before he woke up and flew down. Once he hit the ground, I dropped the hammer on him.
20lbs
8 inch beard
1 inch spurs

Someone turn it upright for me.

Probably the 8th bird I heard this morning. When it happened, it happened fast. By far the lightest longbeard I have ever killed.
15.7 lbs
9.1" beard
7/8" spurs

Bird #2. They're still bunched up real bad in my area but was able to pull a pair of 2 year olds away from the pack. There's 2 bosses in there that must have 3" long spurs, 19" beards, and weigh 26 or 27 lbs. Ok maybe a bit of a stretcher but the boss birds were absolutely head and shoulders taller than others. Noggins big as softballs.

I know who I'm after next.

Dead is dead, even for a 150+ year old ML.
Congrats to all.

We've got to hear more about this.[/quote]

I posted on the ML section if you have interest, then noticed this section and enjoyed seeing other successes.
